steverogerson: Beer in Yokohama

As well as attending the convention last summer, I also spent a bit of time exploring some of the bars in Yokohama including organising the pre-convention pub crawl. I have put my thoughts on some of those bars into an article in Nottingham Drinker, a magazine in Nottingham, England, produced by the local branch of the Campaign for Real Ale.

If you want to read it, go here:

and download the April/May 2008 issue and look at pages 24 and 25.

Ah, thanks.

I rather wish I'd been with you for more places than just the Craft Beer Bar and the Red Brick Warehouse.

As an aside, we (bellinghwoman and I) found an Irish bar deep under the Roppongi Hills in Tokyo which did a good Guinness and some interesting locals.

Yay! I'm mentioned, sort of.

The real ale at the Craft Beer Bar was Iwate Kura Biiru IPA. I have a photo of the menu!

Show off. The menu was in japanese.

I did take the picture so I could remember what beers I had! The menu is mostly katakana, which is reasonably straightforward, and I have a dictionary to hand.

"what beers I had"

Wasn't it 'all of them'?

Oh, I see what you mean.
